The PETA association

PETA.org.uk

The PETA association, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, was founded in the 1980s in United States. It advocates for the ethical treatment of animals. It is the largest animal rights organization in the world: more than 5 million members and supporters.

PETA is particularly active in the food industry, laboratories, apparel trade and entertainment industry: four areas where animals particularly suffer. It also focuses on combating cruelty to domestic animals, the cruel killing of rodents, birds and other animals considered as “harmful” and other animal problems.

PETA is very involved in public education, protest campaigns, cruelty investigations, animal rescue and research.

Why the label Cruelty free and Vegan?

Although more than 1,700 companies have banned the testing of animals, hundreds of thousands of animals are killed, blinded or poisoned every year. The label “Cruelty free and Vegan” fights against this and guarantees vegan products without cruelty to animals.

Thanks to its apposition on our products, it certifies that all our skincare products are not tested on animals during their making. Neither raw materials nor finished products were used for animal testing.

The label also has the Vegan mention which indicates that cosmetics do not contain any ingredients from animal origin.

So we do not find any of these ingredients in our cosmetics:

  • Beeswax (cera alba)
  • Honey (mel)
  • Propolis (Propolis)
  • Caviar (caviar extract)
  • Donkey or goat milk (lake, lactis)
  • Silk (bombyx)
  • Eggs (ovum)
  • Carmine Red (C.I. 75470, E120)
  • Keratin (keratin)
